Having
your own vineyard not in the plan? Carafe WineMakers gives you the opportunity
to have quality, great value wines made from ingredients sourced from around the
world.
The Triangle's
new micro-winery/distributor, produce more than 25 wine varietals including traditional
favorites- Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon
and Amarone, just to name a few. The must comes from such distinguished growing
regions as California, Washington State, Australia, New Zealand, Chile and all
over Europe.
Co-owners, Ken and Wendy Crosson and John and Shannon Parsons, procure grape must
from these regions and produce the wine on site. The tightly controlled process
consists of fermentation, racking, degassing, filtering, initial aging and packaging.
The process takes four to six weeks, depending on the wine chosen. Customers can
bottle and label their own wine if they wish. Although the production cycle is
complete, wine will improve with further aging.
Initially, the customer focus was the individual wine consumer who would embrace
the idea of creating a personal, private labeled wine collection chosen from the
extensive Wine List.
It became clear that the private label program is a unique , cost effective marketing
tool to promote business. Privately labeled wine that celebrates achievement or
appreciation is well received by employees and/or customers alike.
The wine is of high quality and good value. The winery has a full tasting bar
and the owners encourage individuals and/or businesses( groups as large as 20)
to come in and try any of their wines.
If you love wine, or are looking for a unique holiday gift, you owe it to yourself
to drop into Carafe WineMakers.
